The Aston is actually still lying in wait, when I joined the AMOC some 14 months ago my inclination was to purchase a brand new V8 Vantage. The car I drove before this was a 2008 BMW M3 which I really loved. When I test drove the Vantage it felt much more special than the BMW, but in terms of performance was pretty much level with the BMW. Then I realized that prices for the DBS have dropped significantly from the $270K+ MSRP to ~$170K for cars that have barely done 3-4K miles (literally as new). I therefore decided to wait until the last quarter of this year and purchase a used DBS for basically the same money I would spend on a new Vantage. I do think the DBS is both the best visually and technically in the lineup and am certain I will keep the car indefinitely as opposed to the V8 which I am sure I would sell after a few years.
