Jaeger-LeCoultre

Many thanks!

My sincere gratitude Nicolas, Richard and Ken for such a great welcome, I can feel that the people here are genuine and pure in their affection.

I should add that I do not yet own a JLC watch, I would like to learn even more about the watches and experience them in reality, and afterward when the time is right I plan on purchasing an AMVOX2 as the AMVOX3 is out of my price range. As I mentioned, my favorite edition is the latest PBE which I especially like due to the contrast and detail, the subtle orange (my favorite color when it comes to details) highlights really add a great visual impact. However, as this series is limited to 24 pieces I am sure all of them are long sold out. Maybe if one appears in the second hand market by a fellow member wink.

Overall, I've had four watches (I'm a younger man), three of which I had sold (Omega Speedmaster, Longines Evidenza, TAG Heuer Monza) so currently I only have a single watch which I really like, it isn't a JLC class watch, but my affection for it is very strong non the less. It is a TAG Heuer Grand Carrera Caliber 36 RS2 Caliper Chronograph Ti2. As you might know this watch won the Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Geneve in 2008 and was awarded a Red Dot award for best design in 2009. It's movement is actually the Zenith El Primero 400 calibre, additionally enhanced by TAG Heuer to add the rotating systems in the watch. The breakthrough this watch accomplished was that for the first time ever, an automatic watch can measure and magnify 1/10 of a second reading by means of a Vernier scale. All of this really appealed to me, and I have to say that I hold a high affinity for TAG Heuer as their watchmaking approach and values are actually similar to those JLC holds, specifically regarding the desire to constantly push the boundaries of innovation, and always surprise the world with genuinely revolutionary timepieces. The Monaco V4 with the belt driven calibre is another great example of their passion and approach. Also, their historical link to motorsports holds great appeal and meaning to me.

Thank you all again for your kind words, I look forward to discussing all things JLC with you and meeting some of the members here in LA.

PS - sadly, I have tried to upload a couple of photographs but when I click on the upload button it says 'waiting for server response' and then times out. Maybe DRMW can help me with this?
