By coincidence, the Polaris has the same distance between lugs than the Mare Nostrum.
So, if you're the owner ( and you're, anren't you ??? ) of a Mare, all the work you did on it to choose a strap can be use for the Polaris.
I'm looking for the moment on the Distressed Strap side...

I was not totallly happy with the original straps coming with the Tribute to the Polaris, so I became to work ( I should say ..To play ) on the best possible straps for these Re Editions. The Re Edition of the Polaris 65 and 68 comes with the same strap, ...
I like the caramel strap the best...

I wouldn't wear the original strap during my watersoprts activities... Would change it for a Tropic strap, or a waterproof leather strap. Best, Nicolas

Another option
You could get one of the darker cognac or black/dark gray straps, but get the stitching to match the indices on the watch. that way you can create contrast and connection with the dial and the indices.
