Limited information about the 70s Jaeger-LeCoultre Vogue Tank
Dear all,
I am new to this forum, so I hope my post is within the confines of what is discussed and debated here.
I have recently acquired a watch I have been searching for for quite a while.
It has a very distinct design with a wave-like case that continues across the dial. It is run by a manual wind cal. 812/2. I have heard from a vintage dealer that during its years of manufacturing it was mostly sold to the Japanese market (not a Japan-only model), why European dealers in recent years have had to buy them back to the European market. My model comes with a completely silver-tone stainless case and dial, but another model also exist where the dial is colored blue.
I have been searching the internet and Jaeger's websites for additional information - but with limited success.
If anyone here knows of the history of the watch, knows why it is referred to as 'Vogue' (as other models seem to be as well), or any additional information, I would love to hear it.
Thanks for your time - and please shoot any questions you might have about the watch - I'll happily try to reply (if I have the answers

)
