Dje--Thanks. I saw the first photos and shared the response of many to the styling (ugh, Zenith, etc.). It may look better in person. But set all that aside; this technology will end up in designs to suit the eye of any beholder. Here we have a technical masterpiece, and innovations that will shape history. Some day, all good mechanical watches will be made this way. I think John Harrison is up there smiling as he looks at this one.

An incredible example of so many new technologies....no half-measures here. I wonder how the technology could be applied to more traditional watches without fundamentally changing their aesthetic, particularly the view through a sapphire back.
In my ignorance two things impressed me when I visited the Jaeger factory. How they placed tiny screws in a basket to slip in the fire in order to blue them. And the lady painting with enamel on the back of Reversos.
The day I visited there was a Ferrari club from northern Italy somewhere also visiting the factory and there were some twenty Ferrari parked across the street from the entrance. I don’t know what I found more thrilling, the watchmaking or the mean line of...
Good to see this great article resurfacing. In my opinion, there are two watches apart, in the watch world: This Extreme Lab One and the Ulysse Nardin Innovision.
