Jaeger-LeCoultre

It seems that they have listened to the voice of the street !

...the voice of the forums that is !

no nonsense watch this year, and back to classic aesthetics, good proportions, thin rims, and watches in line with the 'DNA' of the brand as some say  (while the previous years watches certainly had a lot of mutant genes in them).

I usually complain a lot about new products launched, but I will refrain this year, actually it seems they did quite a good job and most of them suit my very conservative tastes

Ok, one little grief though: I wish they had launched the new enlarged simple ultrathin with an equally enlarged calibre, the already old cal 849, which was already quite small in the 34mm case, will be very lost in the new Master Ultrathin 38mm with its mere 21mm of diameter (that's 8mm of ring between the movement and the edge of the case...).
I only complain slightly as I know JLC have the capabilities to design and manufacture a modern, large ultrathin movement and are known to develop a lot of movements each year, most of which fit their cases quite fully.
After all, they did it 100 years ago with the 145 so managing a 30mm ultrathin caliber shouldn't be a very big challenge for them

Anyway, the 175th anniversary is definitively a good year for JLC
