it's bad news, but

Jaeger Le-Coultre is very careful in handling both dials and hands, they use soft wood tip pliers to manipulate the hands, as well as special plasticine to hold them, this prevents them from being scratched or marked, unlike when they are use metal tweezers.,
But one thing is how they assemble it in the factory and another very different is the treatment that they can give you in a technical service or with a watchmaker abroad. It would be interesting to find out more about it.
When a watch is opened, it must be taken into account that there are many microparticles flying around it and these can become trapped in the dial and hands when that watch is closed again, so it must be in a sterile place with a system of air extraction (places that have the factory).
Whether the watch is hermetic or not also counts for a lot because humidity can stain the hands and dials over time, especially when they are stored for long periods in safes or drawers without anti-humidity systems.
Either way it is sad and unacceptable to see damage or defects inside the dials and hands on supposedly new watches and especially when some of us are very touchy.
I hope you can solve this problem soon, good luck
