The weight of the original '65 is exactly the same than the original '68, so you can feel the light difference.

The shape and the size are identical, as the Vampire effect.. smile

The main thing which changes is the movement...

The cal 825 has something the new movement doesn't have: The nice feeling of the umper and its legendary " Dong Dong " when you move the watch, and the physical feeling you have on the wrist when the watch moves, too.

The modern movement allows some nice improvements, like the quick set of the date, by the crown at 2, and the nice Alarm sound, even if the frog in love had its charm.

In temrs of accuracy and reliability, a modern movement is without doubt superior and better.

As it is a tribute, some comaparison should be added IMO. The below is some of my first impression: 1) Ring: a) It rings like school bell. interesting b) softer in vibrating 2) Weight: to be determined by other (I have no original 65 yet, if compared with...

Hi Bernard. Realy wonderfull pictures. Witch harware didi you use for that? Is it the platinum or the boutique edition? I wonder if you can see a difference between both materials... Best regards Marc

From the dial detail, it may give your hints : empty small dot. For the hardware, I use a marco lens and Canon 30D.

The Platinum also have empty dots...

You are correct. the Boutique and Platnium version both have the dial with empty dot. I think it is difficult to identify from the photo except showing the back with the number or to feel it in flesh. No idea whether the material for straight index would ...
