I saw the blue in the flesh and it did not do it for me. I think the red, or maybe green would do it better but am a sucker for Arabic numeral so I do love the plain base model as well!

No, I don't think so. There was a Yellow one ( Thailand ) and a Blue ( Rio ) which were automatic. As for the GRB, the retail was not much more. The market price is higher, due to its rarity ( only 26 pieces ).

That's the best way to make your decision.

Indeed. You already know how I feel about modern JLC pieces mon ami. I adore pieces from the Lambert era and earlier. Recently, not so much EXCEPT for outliers like the Gyro 5, Reverso Tribute to Gyrotourbillon, and the 90th Anniversary Reverso, etc...
