I tend to agree. This is an unique Memovox as I don't know any other MODERN manual winding.

Now I will have hard time deciding between this one and the TT DSA. Both would be my answer. As for the lugs, no, I don't feel they are out of proportion at all!
Here is the exact configuration I am looking for ( Credit picture: Sotheby's ) : Tritium dial. Add a full set, box and papers, and here we are. Why do I prefer the tritium version? For the warm patina of its indices. Which works very well with the red cir...
If I can have a very little drawback it would be the case size. As the dial is black, a 38mm case size instead of 36mm would have been better but... that is not disturbing at all. Best wishes Alkiro
Some days ago, I went to the Geneva Piaget shop to try the 900P and I discussed with the salesperson about watch case sizes. I told her that I was very happy to see Piaget makes this model in 38mm. She replied me that most of clients wanted bigger watches...
Same for the owner of a vintage Panerai 6154 or 3646 or 2533 or 6152? Same for a Vacheron Tour de L'Ile? Or Ulysse Nardin Freak Diavolo ( 45 mm ) ? Best, Nicolas
Why the average case size which was 35 or 36mm on average at the beginning of the 90s and now 40 or 42mm? Do you think that is because our wrists have increased so much? Watch brands answer to a certain demand because it is a market like another one. Best...
Mine do only have Swiss Made but the patina is quite watm/creamy. As for the crowns, agree not the most elegat crowns. Would have prefered more like the crowns on the Parking. Best Blomman
Hi Until I looked closer at your shot - was wondering how to differentiate between versions. Then I noticed the T either side is Swiss Made. Mine doesn't have the box, but I do have papers. Saw it in shop window and was instantly drawn to it, but needed t...
But no distinction between the tritium and the luminova... My guess is that the tritium is rarer, due to the fact that they have to stop using tritium quite early in the production of this model. Best, Nicolas
Great watch - tried one of them some months ago and was very pleased with how it looked on me Definitely a nice reference - I guess another HW Memovox would be due? And to make it really exciting, in a Reverso case?
Hi Nicolas, Thank you for writing about this beauty on a regular basis. It is such an nice watch, despite its smallish size. I wasn\'t aware of the different versions. I certainly learned something new today, thank you. And mine is the T version... Best, ...
This is such a spectacular Memovox, the black dial, no date (!) and best of all the exhibition caseback are the biggest attractions. Is it me or is seeing the gong of the Memovox alarm ring a little like the joy of seeing a minute repeater. The one concer...

Hello, I 'm new on this forum. I recently bought a memovox with cal 914 and silver dial. I really love this watch but the way the alarm system works on my watch seems strange. if anybody has this 36mm manual memovox, i would like to ask a few questions to...
I ve been told that the watch is supposed to work like this : the alarm rings when the hour hand reaches the alarm index. and during 30 to 60 minutes after that, the watch is still making some noise when you move it, meaning that the hammer is still free ...
do you mean that it stops making noise after 30 or 60 minutes ( as it is supposed to do) or few hours later ? mine is very noisy during 30-60 minuted after the alarm is on (which is normal) but keeps making that little jungle noise until the next alarm ho...
If the alarm spring is not wound, the hammer will be loose and will hit the gong as it passively moves, making a slight ring. If that bothers you, you can always give the alarm a quarter wind, and that will be enough tension to keep the hammer from moving...
After much searching I’ve realized that collectors are holding onto t or no t. So I finally got mine. No t. But I think you might be surprised. The lume is still bright and I think they did something to it to make it patina. Anyhow it’s fantastic, I’ve ha...
Stumbled across one just 2w ago and got it this week... and I can tell why you are so excited about it! A pure dial, no unnecessary interruptions on the dial, perfect symmetry. Thanks for planting the bug Nicolas ;o) ...
Just some background, for some reason, I regretfully sold my silver dial master memovox reveil. After my tears had dried, I realized what I had done, so I set my eyes on a greater prize, the ref. 144.8.94 S. I'm not a professional photographer by any mean...
