You saw the mention Chronometer on the 24 000 only on the Master Mariner dial configuration, maybe?
This is the only configuration I saw with this mention on the dial. Not on the earlier 24 000, the one I posted.
The MM 24 000 came in 1974, this is what I believe. So not an inconsistency, but rather a different dial.
