but since you asked to be brutal... I'll only say JLC has disastrous resale... (almost all watches do, but JLC worse than the majority as a brand ) Other than that, I feel this is a timeless design and a beautiful movement at a fair price. If you feel it's more than a whim, pull the rigger. I really like it. In a perfect world, buy it pre-owned with a few hours of use. hey you asked to be brutal.

.. as far as the TT Geophysic is concerned, I really love mine: - it has historical DNA, IMO also balanced charm & is unobtrusive , but versatile: - You can dress it up or down, she will mold in.. Thus, on a personal note, you probably cannot GP wrong. Go...
+1...this issue still irks me.
A true lost opportunity for JLC. An interesting manual movement, even at a decently higher price, would IMO been taken up by collectors very quickly.
By the way, I still like the TT Geophysic 1958 that JLC produced.
But it could and should have been more special.
