Jaeger-LeCoultre

Both

The dial of the PT looks bigger since the second markers are not on the perimeter. And the heft is unmistakable. When I owned both, the SS felt weaker, but it is a different watch and perhaps shouldn't be compared this way. The SS is wonderful and any serious collector should probably have one. It was the first watch that really grabbed my attention. There is youthful charm to it, reminds me of my dad showing me how to use a compass and going on hikes that felt so adventurous, where there was so much to be discovered in the world. This is why I would consider the SS again. Can't go wrong with either and I don't think it will be easy to get them too far below their original retail values. Most guys who own them seem to really cherish them.
