A different mountain expedition watch
I have to admit, I was a initially disappointed about the limited to VIP release of the Corey Richards Overseas but rather than be salty about it I thought I'd celebrate the Extreme Lab 2 today before I head out to the JLC Sound Maker Exhibition. The functionality of the DT and the Chrono all in one fully titanium cased watch that did make it to the top of the mountain, what a bargain! 
Now if only there's was a good textile strap option like the VC......

I went to watch the video review of this piece. It is a technical marvel. If i had 56k, I’m putting my dollars on this first. Jawdropping piece.

What I was most excited about was the full titanium/tantalum case and bracelet on the prototype which didn't happen sadly. It would have been amazing to see VC's Overseas bracelet finishing done in titanium, just adding a ti bezel feels like shortcuts wer...

No idea since I'm not a VC VIP :)
But my understanding is boutiques reached out to special customers ahead of the launch to gauge interest and then the pieces were allocated. With such a low production number, I imagine all the DT were snatched up and potentially a few chronos may make it...

The Everest VC is an aesthetic variant of the mainline Offshore watches in tribute to an expedition, the climber/photgrapher, and just a general kind of adventuring spirit. The JLC was an engineering accomplishment in tribute to the JLC watches and people...

Thank you! The EL2 is so crazy I always feel like I'm not doing it justice with just pictures.
All the different finishes - horizontal brushing, vertical brushing, circular brushing, matte, polished, painted - angles, and layers upon layers of parts make it really hard to portray how many different looks the EL2 takes on depending on the light.
One of my favorite, if not my favorite sport's watch of ALL time, all brands included !! 🔥💥💪
Even though I would love to add the new Everest VC Overseas GMT to my collection, there is ZERO comparison between that watch and this EL2 !! The EL2 is HEADS & SHOULDERS better in EVERYWAY, including functions, practically, design, technical merit, R&D, ...
