600 USD sounds about right...
I was given a ballpark figure of ~900 SGD (~700 USD) for service of a calibre 899 by the JLC boutique in Singapore. Strangely, I was pleasantly surprised, as this is in the range or even lower than service charges for Omega.
In saying this, I guess the real test will come when I finally send it for service and get a proper estimate. Despite this ballpark figure I was given, I've heard of charges significantly exceeding this in various threads.

I paid around $1200 to have my Compressor Geographic serviced 3 years ago in Fort Worth, TX. I was not happy with the additional quote of $1000 to replace the crowns, which JLC stated had dis-colored white paint. I declined the crown replacement. $450+ us...
