Date? Yes!

Hi guys! first I would like to congratulate this dedicated website and everyone who contribute to this great experience!
Over the years I've collected many pieces myself and I have to say: such chronograph will not be appealing if it hadn't had a date!
A chrono at this price range and size could potentially be worn as an everyday watch. Removing the date would definitely create some inconvenience for those who plan to wear it everyday.
That is the exact reason why the Duometre was not awarded with a date. Since it is not an everyday watch, it would be a pain to set and reset the date every time, as opposed to just wind it and wear it.

Regarding the angled window, I also agree with JLC because, 1) It is different from what everyone does when trying to design something classy - small details make the difference; and 2) It is quite convenient if you sit on a desk or in front of a computer all day long because you don't have to turn your wrist or arm when checking the date. Therefore more comfortable to read on the fly.

The fact that is has no screw down crown is also convenient since it is not a sporty watch. (AP's Royal Oak has a screw down crown on a watch that is only 5 atm whilst the Offshore - 10 atm - does not. Therefore incoherent).

JLC really got it right in my opinion for the most. The only problem 'for me' is the size. I would prefer 41.5 mm ø, since my wrist is fairly wide.

As to case back either way I'm happy but I agree, if it was open back case they'd better make sure the movement's finish was impeccable!

Once again thanks for sharing, and have a great day all
