Very very cool watch!

Sadly I must agree with you about con #2. I own the 42mm Aquatimer Chronograph in titanium of just that case/bracelet style, and that rigid end link bows out too far for my skinny wrist! If it were more flexible, there'd be no problem. It's something that definitely disappoints me about wearing that watch.

First of all, thanks for all your input especially on JLC forum. Learned a lot, and really help me to decide. After pondering hundreds of Chrono24 and Ebay listings, i pulled a trigger to the IWC GST ref 3537 in titanium. Originally i was looking for a JL...

I keep looking at these & think the titanium is best choice - really like the more subdued look. Congratulations on the new addition Enjoy wearing it Cheers JML

Great review of a rarely seen watch

Aquatimers were much nicer back then as evidenced by your piece.

Excellent choice! Enjoy in good health.👍 [nt]

This is actually the first mechanical watch that made me think “wow”

I’ll never forget it—I was 15 years old in small watch store during a summer trip in Hong Kong. It’s a watch that I will never sell. I do agree with you though that the buzz is the horological equivalent of a Harley Davidson, so it deserves a stablemate i...

She is back! After exactly 4 months. With new movement?

I am not 100% sure. But I can't and I won't open the caseback...I have to believe IWC when they said they have replaced mine with a brand new, assembled movement. Nice service eventhough it is not cheap. This is IWC at their best : no non-sense design, ro...

Is that what they told you?

That you got a new movement? I would be surprised unless they have many spares laying around.

Yes, the Richemont singapore told me that.

They said the information was from IWC schaffhausen, because the time consuming and labor cost will be much greater than to simply swap the movement with a new one. They keep my old movement. What I can feel is that the winding is very smooth and precise....

Thanks Nico. Now i'm tempted to get another IWC with JLC movement (caliber 889)

The question is : steel or gold bezel? Considering the small 34 mm diameter, I think gold bezel will make it more "pop" and wear larger , which is good to compensate the small opening dial. But it is a bit dressy than the steel bezel. Which one will you c...

All steel, for me here.
