The JLC MR from Nico has probably the better (louder) sound. Platinum is not the best transmitter.
But what I especially love about this watch is that it is not just tremendously beautiful but is really a robust daily wearer due to its special construction.
Usually minute repeaters combine the strike function with the time keeping function. Here we have a modular system.

I dreamed of this watch since the IWC Portuguese Minute Repeater was launched in 1995. But I couldnāt afford it at that time.
Truth being told I havenāt seen it in the metal, I admire this watch since I first saw it.
One day Iāll have one, until then Iāll just enjoy your photos.
You should do it.
I even sold some other watches (including a Patek Annual Calendar š) to get hold of this good piece. I have never regretted this.
