I dreamed of this watch since the IWC Portuguese Minute Repeater was launched in 1995. But I couldn’t afford it at that time.

One day I’ll have one, until then I’ll just enjoy your photos.

I even sold some other watches (including a Patek Annual Calendar 😎) to get hold of this good piece. I have never regretted this.

warm words, dear Constantine! The JLC MR from Nico has probably the better (louder) sound. Platinum is not the best transmitter. But what I especially love about this watch is that it is not just tremendously beautiful but is really a robust daily wearer ... 

A secondhand dealer I know very well had one for sale ... it was priced less than 1/3 of the Patek 5711/1a he also had for sale. I mean, around EURO 27K for a gold IWC minute repeater and EURO 85K for that steel 5711 .... INSANE

which was an unworn safe queen and had been revised a few month before I bought it. I had to pay a much higher prize but still almost half of the prize of the mentioned Patek. You are right, it‘s insane. But everyone has to decide for themselves what they... 

Mine is the 2nd generation. To trust generation has the old logo “International Watch Company”. It is not difficult to distinguish the first and second generation from the third generation. The third (last) generation has the small seconds at 6:00, the fi... 

But this is not an important historical knowledge and therefore not a real indicator of the aging process ... By the way: I wrote „to trust generation“ and ment „the first generation“. Perhaps also a sign of ... ? 😉

And for me it is also the essence of accuracy, which for me underlines the most important function of a watch - to show the time as accurately and reliably as possible. And it is also a protagonist of versatility. You can wear this MR in various situation...  

Beautiful watch. Goes perfectly with the shirt. I only wish you could post an audio file of the chime. Wear it in the best of health. It’s a special watch. One of the best I have ever seen. CB.
