IWC

Sorry to hear that you were treated so poorly

I have many IWC watches (all are Porsche Design Ocean 2000 or Ocean Bund watches) but I've never tried getting them serviced at an IWC Boutique.  I did send an email to the IWC Boutique in New York City via their website asking if they still sell the Velcro straps for the Ocean models.  I received a polite email response that these parts are no longer in stock, but then they recommended I check with a 3rd-party IWC authorized repair shop in New York City (who are well known in collector circles to service the Oceans).  I consider that a positive experience.

I really hope yours was a one-off and not the typical IWC Boutique experience.  That kind of attitude from a Richemont Boutique is something I've never encountered.  I've bought watches from the JLC Boutique in Beverly Hills and Panerai Boutiques in Beverly Hills, New York, and Dallas and had pleasant phone conversations with the Panerai Boutique in Bal Harbor, Florida.

In my opinion, from the encounter you described, that particular sales advisor you spoke with is just an @$$h0l3.
