Not sure moving to the US is a solution
I had one 'interaction' with IWC here in the US and that was to try and procure a half link for my 3227's bracelet. After leaving phone messages, sending emails and getting no response I decided to call Superior in New York (they're an authorized IWC service center). Someone answered the phone on the first ring and I had the half link in my mailbox in two days. Disappointing customer service from IWC.

It is written " By IWC ". so IWC should / could service it. Period. Now, I give most of my vintage watches to watchmakers. And I have zero issues. Best, Nicolas

There is some "hard core" repairer watchmaker who is willing to make parts by himself...

Don't want to discourage you from moving to The U.S.; especially if you move to NYC,
but the Richemont Service Center in Texas is almost universally reviled. It handles every brand except Lange (for a reason). I do think you would find the IWC Boutique associates quite a bit friendlier, and more courteous, however.
