Independents

Yes! I think David Zanetta's role is a lost part of the DB origin story! Ignoring his contribution and influence imho makes for an incomplete understanding of DB's watches.

I get that they want to focus on the present and the future for marketing purposes, but so much of the brand DNA and craziness was David Zanetta and the watches wouldn't be what they are today if it wasn't for him. He was able to articulate the intent of the DB design aesthetic and connection of space and time better than anyone and I think DB would be even more popular today if his philosophy of design was more represented in the brand today. I even suggested to WB that might be a good topic to cover for their one of their videos but I guess they have enough demand already smile
