But in terms of parts production, the parts themselves are larger, there's less concern for a watchmaker or clock maker to "fit" the part and to "manufacture" a worn part. Also, clock parts are larger and thus easier to see how it all goes together. And the larger parts also wear slower. So, in general, clocks are theoretically easier than watches; as you're not dealing with something quite as small nor as delicate as a watch.
