That said, the G Wagon market seems to be like the watch market these days. It always held decent value I think but it seems even more so these days.

Wonder why titanium is engraved on the case back? Could it be to give the CNC machine a rest?

As you correctly saw, eagle eyes for sure, it’s a Tantalum Titanium combination. I’m sure the CNC machines were happy about that !

Journe’s is his cheapest mechanical watch !! But that is the exception. I will add that the PAM 172 was $15k or so in 2005 or thereabouts. The same watch, in steel or titanium was 1/3 of the price (retail prices).

Anything in tantalum is just better! You could have the worst watch in the world and put it in tantalum and it would be that much better!
