...in full size on my computer, there is no moire in the original image -- but when I downsized the image to 1500x1000 for uploading, the grooves in the dial must have been just the right size relative to the pixel grid (along with the lighting from the s...

Am running out of superlatives ! Its quite ironic, but sometimes I fear the resolving power of these new sensors. Leaves nothing to the imagination ! And Good thing u cleaned the watch real well !

Your photos not longer look distorted. Spot on aspect ratio !

I uploaded the first two to the PuristS. server. If you compare to the second version of the movement shot that is a link to Flickr, you will see that the latter is still elongated (at least on my phone). Will keep you advised. Thanks, Gary

Hi Gary... Congrats once again.....on the latest addition Frankly...seriously considering this watch as well. What's your opinion, or feedback on the wearability, finishing etc as compared to the rest...or the latest indies in your collection Understand, ... 

Thanks for asking for my opinion, MrTime! I will wait until my "wearing impressions" post (maybe in a week or two) to set out my views on this watch in greater detail, but I can tell you already that it certainly fulfills its intent just as well as any in... 

For the kind sharing of opinion Frankly...I'm in discussion, and seriously considering making the move as well. Any thought on the Red Gold Dune....as I find that combination v attractive too. And is the watch size look bigger then actual, as its actually... 

If you are strongly drawn to the watch, I do not think that you will be at all disappointed with it -- in my opinion it very much stands up to (or even exceeds) the expectations that I had for it. I've seen the Dune, and I think that it looks great. On so... 

For the numerous questions.....as really eager to make decision. ....and impatiently, can't wait for your official review. Thanks for all the input.....certainly help facilitate my decision making. Sure will keep you all updated in the coming weeks Commun... 

This one will provide lots of challenges to "catch" the essence photographically. Looking forward to trying! Best, Gary

That is, one that does not involve a glass of beer? I already learned that one :-) Glad to be in the club! I did consider the Techniek but at the end of the day (as Tim noted) I am perhaps a bit more attuned to classic looks so went with the solid dial --... 

But they all revolve around alcoholic drinks... From the solid dials, the blue is in my opinion the one to have and I agree that in your collection this one fits better but there is always room for both as they look like different watches :-) Cheers Andre...

You have touched on a key point that I've elaborated on a bit in some of my other responses here -- coherence. This is, to me, one of those rare pieces in which the parts all contribute to a coherent whole -- and I like the overall concept as well! Best, ...
