I just bought the 1921 five weeks ago
and would thoroughly recommend it. This is a manual winding watch while the LF is an automatic, arguably the best finsihed automatic in the market. Saying that Kari Voutilainen did remark how beautifully finished was the movement of the 1921. But I bought the 1921 because the dial is second to none. It is my first ever and probably my last ever Vacheron as I am really a supporter of Patek and the independent brands.

then my brother got the RG. Is such an iconic model and I am glad it is now available in White Gold. Unlike anything else and better than Patek 😁

Not too keen on the rose gold model to be honest. The white gold model contrasts better against the black numerals and hands.

I own a LF galet micro rotor (not in ice blue, though) and I‘ve tried the American 1921 in several different versions.

so the lower price might be because of that ? I loved the LF Origin Ice Blue dial in my pic but it is not available for purchase (just to try) and almost x2 price of the VC (and the VC is in gold) leaves me a bit perplex.
Two different worlds.

Tough choice Christian as they are both great watches for different reasons for me. Either way, you cannot go wrong but that ice blue dial does look super nice 😉
The 1921 is a VC icon so tough to argue that choice as well, especially at the price point 🤷♂️
