The long answer is, well, a bit longer.
First, VC and LF are among my favorite brands and all the watches you mention are fantastic pieces in their own right.
As for the 1921, this is an iconic VC that is very well designed and made. It is extremely wearable too with its slim case and it works in casual settings as well as in elegant ones. I think it is in the top 5 of all VC pieces, at any price point. The only word of caution: try it on before you buy it. I looove it in pics and on others wrists, but on mine, it falls apart. If it works for you, you‘ll love it.
As for the LF, they are on another level when it comes to movement construction and finish, and their cases are brilliant. Having said that, I think the Montre Ecole is their weakest offering in terms of case design. If you go LF, go for a Galet, Square, or Origin.
If you give me the choice between a Classic Origin/Galet Micro Rotor and the 1921, I might swing to the LF.
Enjoy your journey and let us all know how you decide!
