Just looking at those racks and snails in action would be so much fun...the sound is just icing on the cake. I would be playing with it non-stop until it breaks! Congrats again, Jay....  

Real purity there -- I like Jay's piece quite a bit, but this one, with the movement filling the view and the profusion of working parts, really grabs me. Perhaps at some point the owner can convince Kari to remove the solid dial that's on the watch now! ...

more analysis and tidbits from the people who attend and take pictures at Basel. It is hardened stainless steel and the sound is supposed to be amazing. It should be very cool to watch all the snails and racks in action when the slide is activated. Thank ...

Thanks for posting the pic of the dial! And out of curiousity, how involved, if at all, were you in the dial design or any other aspect of the watch design? Did Kari implement or leave out any of your preferences? You must be giddy with joy now. Congrats ... 

I had a lot of input in the metal, dial, movement, colors and finishes. But, I did give him tons of freedom to make on the spot decisions as he went along.

Looks like a fantastic piece -- and I'm very eager to see more photos and hear a recording if possible at some point (or to hear it in person some day at a large-scale Karifest!). Like Arthur, I'm curious about the finishing on some of the larger "flat" p...
