My first French made watch.

From Pequignet,a brand mostly sold in France and neighbouring countries and not being well known in other parts of the world ...also due to a lack of communication and social media presence.

My watch is from the very recently released 30 pcs. limited edition of their "Royale Paris" manufacture series with aventurine dial.

Some of their watches had already caught my attention but this special model was really calling for me.

Of course one of the highlights is the dark blue aventurine dial ; impossible to capture the sparkling nature of this material with static photos!

The case for all "Royal Paris" models is quite sophisticated with curved "Corne de vaches" type lugs and alternating brushed and polished case sides.
Very attractive and executed in top quality !
The dimensions are 41 x 11.4 with a +- 50 mm lug to lug .

Then there is the manufacture movement "calibre royal" entirely conceived and designed in-house, here in its manual wind version.
Most parts are also produced in-house with the rest being sourced from specialists across the nearby Swiss border.
Decoration and assembly are done at the manufacture located in Besançon.

The architecture of the movement is handsome and the finishing well executed.

And with an impressive 100 hours of power reserve.

Finally a wrist shot on my 17 cm wrist.
Beware however for the pretty straight lugs : IMO a wrist circumference of 16 cm is the minimum to wear the watch with style and comfort !

Overall a very high quality product and I am happy that I now finally have also a watch from this neighbour country!

Thanks for looking,
Gerard
