The Tonda 1950 is one of my favorite dress watches. An elegant and modern look, with a movement that is quite well finished! I especially like the design of the lugs on Parmigiani's watches.
Independent and the wish
I thought the brand was a part of a conglomeration. This is the truth: Parmigiani is an independent, but for how long it takes a big conglomeration swallow the independent? Independents are F.P. Journe, PP, Rolex, Eberhart/co, Ball, Chronoswiss, Louis Moi...
PP and rolex has been standing pretty strongly....
That said independents are more unrestricted in their expressions and not dictated by group strategy, such as that with blancpain, breguet and jaques droz....but in the case of iwc, jlc they've competing pretty healthily..

Great to discuss and talk about the watch world. What i see is that the Swatch group focus with Jaquet Droz strong to the Asian market, because that watches look so Asian tasted, it is almost kitsch. Like an Chinese calendar you get when you order a meal ...
