In the good old days even Patek Philippe watches showed the day and the month in French.
When I asked Mr Stern to revitalize this practice he shrugged his shoulders... I got no answer. It‘s the same with A. Lange & Söhne: Today they only make dials with English inscriptions. I find this dissatisfying, because the maker should fulfil the wishes of the customers - especially when they spend some ten thousands of Dollars / Euros for the watch. When you want a watch today that shows the day and the month in your mother language you have to buy a Rolex Day-Date...

As already mentioned by others above, it is a shame this brand is almost unknown. I only heard about them because a friend who worked in France introduced me to them back in the day. Do you know of the current situation of the brand?

Pequignet went through a tricky financial period a few years ago, since the manufacture took over and released a new caliber this year, so I guess things have improved, I guess we just have to hope that the covid crisis does not plunge them back into diff...

This is a great looking watch from a brand I find fascinating.
I looked at them several years ago at Baselworld while visiting and the quality, design & overall feel is excellent. I love this model and I believe they offer a lot of watch for one's hard earned pennies/cents etc. etc. Tim
