I think the problem is it being difficult to see both side by side.
The Laine is a larger watch, but I will say with a 6.25 inch wrist the 40.5mm case is OK. Now, for me, if the price point had been a little higher my view on the case size would be different and I wouldn’t have gone with this watch. The Kudoke, with the smaller case may be more suitable or a safer bet if unable to try these watches on in person.
Laine also offers a lot of customization, so that may be a big factor in deciding which is best for you.

I saw that too , i think there will be one or two laying around at a local AD but as far as I know the are all sold out or spoken for.

I don't think you can say one is better finished than the other. Different approaches. I own one of each. The gestalt of the Laine is bolder but better is not something I'd say. Different. ...

It’s rare to see both side by side like that. Thank you for sharing that. To my eye, it seems like the finishing for both is good, but maybe Laine incorporates some higher end techniques, many sharp angles, for instance
