I think that depends on your context

 

... which I assume to be that in which you mostly wear your watch.  For me, I would tend to agree (three hands), given the same terms (ie the context in which I mostly wear my watch, though that might be a different context ;p), although I haven't decided whether I prefer sweep or sub-seconds.  Occasionally, I feel like the context demands something a little more complicated (since the context in which I mostly wear my watch can also change), in which case I think a perpetual, if executed well, is more beautiful.   


In more formal contexts, I prefer a two-hander (in which I would wear a watch even though some would say that one ought not be worn).  The latest VC ultra-thin 55 is just about spot on for these situations.  And to stick with the proposition, more beautiful.  

I suppose "beauty" for me depends on the context in which it is viewed, as well as in the eye of the beholder, as well as both - and perhaps other things.
