Holy ****ing **** **** šŸ˜

This is enough to make a holy man swear. And Iā€™m not holy.

Good grief. What a thing. Iā€™ll have this one and a regular small-size one with the guilloche dial, please. (Can I get fries with them and make it a meal?)

Thanks Nico!

If you have the chance to order a unique PD and then decided to sell it after owning it for a short while šŸ˜¬

But its definitely something special šŸ‘ŒšŸ»

That would be weird...

Very bad. I think a lot indies are sick of this speculative approach.

Watches as an investment vehicle. Itā€™s all about the wrong reasons.

Love it. Oh yes!

Nicely put.

Beauty.

I think i still prefer the standard patterned dial with the sub seconds though.

The 34 mm one?

 By: amanico : June 10th, 2023-14:21

If reaching for the stars, go for 37mm

Credit Phillips ...

+1

Not Dufour, but a similar aesthetic.

 By: Nicetomeetyou : June 11th, 2023-13:43
I think if they made it in 36mm (or even slightly smaller 35.8), just to allow the sub seconds to sit lower would have been absolutely perfect. As isā€¦. Is still amazing Credit monochrome ...

Thatā€™s whyā€¦

I remember reading a report many years ago, after the initial batch of 140? Simplicity were made, sold and doneā€¦some wealthy Chinese collectors was able to ā€œconvinceā€ the Master to make another 20 unique pieces. In recent years, a big collector and friend...

That I simply donā€™t understand the million dollar appeal of these watches. There are much more interesting watches in the sub-100k category in my very humble opinion. But what do I know!

I agree with you and Nico. Thatā€™s why when Rexhepā€™s CC went for $924K, I was a bit frustrated.

 By: Obeezy : June 11th, 2023-14:20
Why? Because now even more speculators will try to obtain his pieces. Now, Rexhepā€™s pieces are interesting, unique, etc. so donā€™t hear me saying they are not. I simply want to return to the days when true enthusiasts could obtain and discuss watches.

I may be wrong, but I think the speculator angle gets overplayed....

...and all this shows is that 1M is insignificant for the 0.1%ers of the world who can buy what they want. We all love capitalism until we are on the wrong side of it!

Hehehe, good one!

They are interesting, but really nothing extraordinary to my eyes

Still a simple Swiss lever escapement, with a cool reset to zero function. Also, I have heard from a few owners and others whom I trust of significant mechanical issues with his watches. As high as a 60 percent failure rate, with service times extending b...

Firstly let me say - I love this piece and design. HOWEVER

I find the current state of the market really depressing. 1. These pieces are not and never will be available;able to collectors like us. They are only available to high end ultra high net worth clients. Lets not fool ourselves. We will never even smell o...

Nico I want to say I like it

 By: Mr.Gatsby : June 14th, 2023-17:37
But this one leaves me feeling quite cold. As youā€™ve rightly said it. Itā€™s VERY simple I like having a seconds hand running around in circles. Also the lack of guilloche and applied numerals just makes it really, really, simple. Best Gatsby

yup me 2
