Looking for a watch with excellent finishing under 30k USD used or new. Any ideas? I’m fine with time only. Love anything with generous guilloche too. Don’t care about PM. Considering a Chopard LUC or a PF? They seem to be ridiculously well finished, espe...
The level of horology and finishing at its selling price point is probably the best you will get today. Hopefully with the new direction they will rise in value.
I dont think the finishing is that good. It's nice, but not as good as some independents in the same price range. Say this having owned a Zeitwerk and a Lange 1.
The finishing is best in the business for the price range and production output of the brand. The Zeitwerk is very nicely finished but you are paying more for the complication than finishing on that piece. The Zeitwerk could and should sell for twice the ...
I agree 100% and that's why I bought one. I have an Odysseus in SS en route too but I don't think their finishing is comparable to something like the new Coyon that came out..
The coyon is better finished, I have not handled one, but they don't make nearly as many watches as L&S and certainly nothing even remotely as complicated as many L&S pieces.
Laurent Ferrier Galet Micro Rotor, pre-owned. No guilloche though. You're in the Independents section, so presumably that excludes Richemont brands. If not, then I'd add Lange to the mix.
For an Independent. I think the Lang & Heyne finishing is on par with just about anything out there (think best of the best) and their pricing is well below most of the "competitors". A close second for me is Laurent Ferrier. Non-independent Lange & S...
Both are great watches, but the finishing style is very different. Having owned both brands, I would say the movement finishing on L&H is about as nice as it gets regardless of price-point. ALS are still very nicely finished, not quite to the L&H ...
