I'm not sure about all of you but I've not had much success purchasing watches off EBay. I've been burned twice by small brick and mortar resellers who sent me malfunctioning watches. Each time it took a few months to resolve the issues and after the seco...  

No risk no gain ! Glad it come out great for u ! Gotta ask this .... would u do it again, if given a choice ?!?

I could have cared less if the watch was a simple calendar but finding another good watchmaker is priceless. That is always the problem with owning watches...the maintenance afterwards which is often dismissed. There may be plentiful of skill watchmakers ...

The most important of which is buy the seller. There were so many points where I was tempted to walk away from the deal.... I actually had to call the company back to remind them to send me the invoice after we agreed to the deal over the phone 96 hours l...

A hidden Perpetual Calendar! What a pleasant surprise! :) Very happy for you. Thanks for sharing your story - it reminds me that when we collect watches, passion and love rules. Sometimes we just have to take a leap of faith for our passion and love :) ch... 

When I talked to the watchmaker and asked if he could customize a leap year indicator, he told me that there would be no easy and elegant solution. So I wonder why were there two versions? One with a leap year indicator, and another series without? Either... 

a gentle reminder that your pockets should be not only deep enough for the purchase (of a used watch), but deep enough for the possible restoration. Great shots , Nice watch. Wear it in Good health. Regards E

But even more so for independent timepieces in the "long run" when these watches get passed on. The repair costs to fix a problem caused by a watchmaker who doesn't know what they are doing is what I'm afraid of. It has happened to me once already. So in ... 

Looking at the profile you will see that this is a modular construction...the pushers and crown are not in the middle of the case. I think later on Mr. Anderson focused on changing this aspect in all his watches (he mentions this in the interview with TM ...  

when something goes wrong with one of our watches. A compasionate doctor, a honest car mechanic, a skilled carpenter, and a skilled watchmaker... people that you've got to find in life :-) Cheers, Mike
