Czapek Monochrome White Just Arrived

Amazing timepiece! That pretty much sums up the Czapek Monochrome White. 

First the debate, yes the bracelet is very good, though have to agree it’s not the super-duper ultra-tight links like Rolex. Reminds me of the Bvlgari Octo FS in tightness (without the razor-sharp edges of the Octo) and it’s also on the thinner side versus Rolex beefiness. The included rubber strap with clasp is excellent and I find it verrrrry comfortable. Generally am a strap guy so that’s my preferred daily wear. Now let’s get to the really good stuff.

Out of the box, the smallest movement and she started ticking on her own. Winding her feels smooth with a bit of resistance and feel, so there is the sensation of knowing she’s being wound. While taking pics I must have reset the time five or six times and is ‘tight’. While some timepieces have a bit of slop when setting the time, that’s not the case with the Czapek Monochrome White timepiece.

With business on the front, this means the white dial is crazy good and shimmers a bit or ‘fades’ depending on the lighting. Visibility to read the time is excellent, surprisingly so given the 'Monochrome' aspect... even with my aging eyesight! Lume is white until you charge it up, then eye-soothing green takes center stage. Without a doubt, the Monochrome White is a strap monster. I can easily see any color rubber or leather strap will work extremely well. 

As much as it is business up front… the party is in the back.

And partying is what my eyes did when I first removed the clear protective bits. I really tried taking great pics of the movement, yet imho I failed miserably(!). There are far better videos on YouTube and professional pics elsewhere that do it justice. IRL it looks far more intricate as the real-world sense of scale comes into play.

Wrist balance, on bracelet or strap, is very good. Not too light, yet not heavy. If anything, call it on the lighter and comfortable side of the horology game.

Using a golf analogy, overall Czapek is playing it right down the 'middle of the fairway' for a truly luxurious timepiece. The dial and movement would score a brilliant Birdie and allllmost an Eagle if this was a par four. Am going to wear her for a few days 24/7 and see about accuracy. My 6.75" wrist is loving the feel. While i know it's hard right now to see one in person, can not state highly enough the movement is a masterpiece! Pure unadulterated Eye Candy!!!
