Kees did the "Fighting Time" dial from Peter's original design. Kees and Peter are friends, whom collaborated on this unique piece.
The back of the watch has the name and Speake-Marin name with serial number all hand engraved by Kees, there is no machine engraving on this piece.
The piece is Platinum, the dial is a mix of silver and 18k WG. The dragons ar made of 18k WG with diamond eyes. The concept is of the two of them chasing each other anti-clockwise, hence fighting time...the mokume gane dial is meant to look almost fluid behind the dragons furiously chasing each other.
Many thanks to the owner for allowing me to share it with the enthusiasts in LA.

The Maki-e piece was not done by Kees, but rather a Japanese fellow who Peter knows in Japan who specialises in this art form.

That dragon dial has so much depth to it and took 100 hours to engrave it. Amazing! - Anthony
