It's nice to see someone who wanders off the beaten path and then, once there, takes another detour far, far into the thickets. This watch isn't just 'deep PF,' it's inside the company's most recondite work.
If I'm correct, the movement adapted for this watch is PF's oldest homegrown work - the PF 110, made for PF's first form watches back in 1999. It has a module added to operate those incredible hands.
There have been one or two more Ovale watches since the release of yours. It will be interesting to see if such zany horological experiments continue as the company pursues greater visibility. I hope for the sake of variety it does.
