You are totally right about magnetic fields. A lab top can go on an average of 1, 400 gauss. Though I doubt ( I am not sure ) that silicon hairspring will be efficient enough against that.
For those of us concerned with the huge magnetic fields from laptops : real data - 1000 Gauss.

The simple answer is choose an Omega. The movement is unaffected by exposure to strong magnetic fields, even those greater than 1.5 tesla (15,000 gauss).
Silicon hairsprings, balance wheels etc can not be magnetized.
You can theoretically wear a new series Omega in an MRI (it might rip you arm out of the socket) with little or no change in rate.
