Back in the early 90s my dad was given a Seiko Spirit Ti Chronograph by his Japanese client for bring the Japan company to venture into Malaysia. My dad didn't wear it so as a gift he gave it to me when I gone to college. It was with me for 15 years until...

was it waterproof for such activities to begin with? Then, it was the fault of the servicing and it shouldn't happen. They must forgot to change or insert the gasket. Were you compensated back then? They should replace it, if possible.... Again, so sorry ...
