JLC is changing tactics. JLC is really focusing on the high end. There are a LOT OF ULTRA-Special pieces that are being announced for special collectors that aren't advertised as part of the standard novelties offerings. Ultra-wealthy collectors are often influencers in themselves, even if they don't have a very public presence. They're hoping that there will be a trickle down effect... The logic is that a brand like JLC will employ consumer psychology which dictates that "normal consumers" will think, "if *powerful-person-X" wears a JLC, then it must be good for me too!"
