Two pieces of advice:
First Advice: Don't buy "sorta" watches:
If you really like a watch, then hold out till you can buy that one... unless it is some crazy unattainable thing obviously. Without stepping on anyone's feet here, a good example is buying a Tudor when you really want a Rolex. You'll hate the watch for having taken up valuable money (and losing value) when you should just wear what you really want.
Second Advice: Don't be a Snob:
If you like some cooky Chinese watch or some Swatch collaboration then buy it, wear it in good health, and enjoy yourself. It's your wrist. The brand bro you might run into while waiting for a table is the only one ever impressed by certain watches. Few other people care (unfortunately.) Get a cool thing. HOWEVER, I draw the line at Replicas, that feels wrong to me.
