Yes steel is absolutely the ideal for most reasons but I am intrigued and compelled by ceramic. I like the deep black and yes if it gets a real smack it cracks. However I would plan to wear it as carefully as my other pieces and have never had a serious smack on a watch to date.
I have to agree on the Bathyscaphe being a very strong contender in this lineup. Design is superb, movement is outstanding and price reasonable relative to rest. Question is chrono or not. I enjoy the looks of the non more but can see use of chrono function for active wear...
