Sucks
Even though it makes the hobby less fun, it’s why I keep most of my pieces at the bank.
I also made a hiding spot that nobody will ever find that I store my watches in at home. If they found it, I’d be shocked 😂

It was not one should have with a collection worth millions. No safe is burglar proof, but there are much better options than the one pictured.
You would think
they wouldn’t have left such an obvious mess…I would have wanted to get as much as possible as quickly as possible and leave the place tidy without drawing a lot of attention…🤔🥸🥷🏻
The cost
of insurance and security definitely factor into how many pieces I own and how much I pay for them… Also, one of the reasons I prefer to buy new.. otherwise you’re haggling with an insurance company about what a vintage piece might be worth.

Yes, I get your point with your hidden place, but believe me, if you are victim of a home jacking, you will give anything you have. A good gun, they shoot your dog or threaten your family, you give them everything you have.
I am a criminal lawyer, and believe me, I saw things most of " normal " people cannot even imagine...
The only way to keep them safe is to forget where they are yourself!
You can't hand them over if you don't know where they are either....
