I nearly bought a vintage one a couple of times but they always had an issue or insane price. I think this one looks as good as the original with all the benefits of being a modern watch. Marc

the Seiko emerald green is a pleasing color and I like seeing the waves in the bright light. The Aquastar has the more badass approach to being a dive watch. Just my 2 cents.

I’d keep it if the dial was simpler without the graphics, had a more compelling bracelet and clasp and had no date. The emerald green is pleasing to my eyes. Regarding the black or blue variants, the color is not the issue here. Those would also have the ... 

You could make an experiment - drop the bracelet and put it on a strap and see if that moves things in the right direction. Green would be great but the sailcloth from the Aquastar could also work really well.

In fact, I recently purchased an emerald DeLugs sailcloth strap for this very purpose. Alas, it didn’t move me enough to keep it . Thanks for your response 🍻
