Furthermore, I allow myself some complications like Lange Perpetual, one Breguet Tradition, etc. So actually it quite a job to get a well covering collection.

What happens if in order to comply with the rules you have to buy a watch you don't like?
I think it's a real risk, as once you have applied all the rules you will have relatively few candidates in any one category. You may be faced with a choice between buying something that you don't really like and buying nothing at all.
