Thanks, Raymond!

You’re correct: if money were no object we’d all have many more watches!! 🙈 However, my watch fund is not unlimited!

I’ve also been apprehensive about selling my watches for a loss, however, apart from a few exceptions, they’re all depreciating “assists”! No one thinks twice about selling their car for less than they paid, but when it comes to a watch, it hurts knowing you paid a lot more (especially if it’s unworn/mint/etc.!)

I lost money on all of the watches I sold. BUT... the money was lost anyway! The watches were unworn, hidden away. That’s pointless. Better to sell them for “some” money and put that towards a watch you WILL wear.

I’m going to be much more deliberate and considered in any future purchases! My current Omega Moonphase has become an active regret! Recently purchased, mint condition, never worn (stickers still on it!) and already its re-sale value is £2,000 less than RRP. So, I need to decide soon: start wearing it or sell it regardless of the loss (and put that money in the PP / Lange pot...)
