It was my first good watch - an Omega Coaxial LE in Platinum. The first coaxial watches were in RG with blue dial, YG with silver dial and in Platinum with salmon dial. There were 1000 of each of the gold versions - and 100 of the platinum. They later made a WG with silver dial also in 1000.

and some spectacular pieces, the Cartier Chrono is brilliant.. and while the JLC is definitely a stand out piece, the skill involved in manufacturing the Cartier at the time would have been taxing to say the least.. Thanks Noodle ;-) Tom
