It's a riot!
We had a great evening. Excellent company, good food, niiice watches, witty conversation and plenty of booze. But here's the thing, at some point someone floated an important question of the moment in London....."Which watch does the well dressed purist wear in a London riot"....!! Maybe it was the drink but we had a detailed fantasy conversation about this bizarre idea.
One important question was, which side you were on!
For the water-canon operator a Polaris?
Perhaps a rioter might wear a G-Shock?
A policeman a Big-Bang.
I hope this strange conversational idea doesn't upset you.
Oh! And another thing, the provenance of the watch seemed important........a lot of hooch had been drunk!

and some spectacular pieces, the Cartier Chrono is brilliant.. and while the JLC is definitely a stand out piece, the skill involved in manufacturing the Cartier at the time would have been taxing to say the least.. Thanks Noodle ;-) Tom
